Ingredients
- 3-4 lbs rump roast
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup vinegar
- 1 lrg onion sliced
- 1 sliced lemon
- 10 whole cloves
- 1 whole dry bay leaves
- 6 whole peppercorns 2
- 2 tbsp salt
- 2 tbsp sugar
Instructions
- Place meat in crock pot
- combine water, vinegar, onion, lemon, cloves, bayleaves, pepper, salt and sugar
- cover and refrigerate for 24 – 36 hours turn meat several times while marinating
- strain the liquid and pour 1 cup in with the meat
- cover and cook for 6 to 8 hours
- remove juice and place in a sauce pan
- bring to a boil and add the crushed gingersnaps
- the gingersnaps will dissolve and thicken into gravy.
