Heart Shaped Cookies

Ingredients

Cookie

  • 1 cup softened butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp almond flavoring
  • 2 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 2 cup oatmeal

Frosting

  • 3/4 cup softened butter
  • 4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 egg white
  • some coconut optional

Instructions

Cookies

  • combine butter and sugar until fluffy
  • add eggs and flavorings
  • mix in flour, salt, baking powder, and oatmeal
  • mix and chill
  • roll out dough on floured cabinet and cut into shapes
  • bake at 350 for 12 – 15 min

Frosting

  • mix butter, powdered sugar, egg whites, and vanilla
  • frost the cooled cookies

Notes

I like to make my cookies pink with a little mint in the frosting
