Ingredients

  • 36 peeled, quartered, tomatos
  • 12 peeled, chopped onions
  • 6 red and green peppers
  • 4 1/2 tsp salt
  • 4 cups sugar
  • 4 cups vinegar
  • 6 tsp cinnamon
  • 4 tsp cloves
  • 1 1/2 tsp cayenne
  • 2 tsp celery salt
  • 3 tsp paprika
  • 1 pkg pickling spice 1 1/2 oz

Instructions

  • combine cinnamin, cloves, cayenne pepper, celery salt, paprika and whole pickling spice in a spice bag
  • Place chopped tomatoes, peppers, onions, sugar, vinegar, salt,and spice bag in canning cooker
  • Cook to desired thickness, stiring occationally from the bottom up to prevent burning
  • process in boiling water bath: 40 min for quarts 25 min for pints
