Chili Sauce
Ingredients
- 36 peeled, quartered, tomatos
- 12 peeled, chopped onions
- 6 red and green peppers
- 4 1/2 tsp salt
- 4 cups sugar
- 4 cups vinegar
- 6 tsp cinnamon
- 4 tsp cloves
- 1 1/2 tsp cayenne
- 2 tsp celery salt
- 3 tsp paprika
- 1 pkg pickling spice 1 1/2 oz
Instructions
- combine cinnamin, cloves, cayenne pepper, celery salt, paprika and whole pickling spice in a spice bag
- Place chopped tomatoes, peppers, onions, sugar, vinegar, salt,and spice bag in canning cooker
- Cook to desired thickness, stiring occationally from the bottom up to prevent burning
- process in boiling water bath: 40 min for quarts 25 min for pints
