Chili
Ingredients
- 2 cups dry beans
- 16 oz ground beef
- 1 large chopped onion
- 32 oz stewed tomatoes
- 4 tbsp chili powder
- 2 cups water
- 1 tsp salt
- 12 oz tomato paste
Instructions
- soak beans overnight in water
- drain
- brown beef and onion in skillet in pot.
- add beans, beef, onions, stewed tomatoes, chili powder, salt and tomato paste
- add enough water to cover
- simmer slowly intil beans are tender (about 3 hrs.)
- Add more water if necessary
- season to taste
