Carmels
Ingredients
- 3 cups sugar
- 1 1/2 cups karo syrup
- 1 pint whipping cream
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 tsp vanilla
Instructions
- bring sugar and syrup to the boil
- slowly add the whipping cream (about a tablespoon at a time)
- do not let it stop boiling
- when it reaches softball stage take off the heat and add the butter and vanilla
- pour into cookie sheet to cool
- cut and wrap into pieces of wax papper
