Caramel’s

Carmels

Ingredients

  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups karo syrup
  • 1 pint whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Instructions

  • bring sugar and syrup to the boil
  • slowly add the whipping cream (about a tablespoon at a time)
  • do not let it stop boiling
  • when it reaches softball stage take off the heat and add the butter and vanilla
  • pour into cookie sheet to cool
  • cut and wrap into pieces of wax papper
