Lemon Drop Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cup crisco butter flavored
  • 3 lrg eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp lemon extract
  • 4 cup flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp Baking soda
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 finaly chopped lemmons , zest of
  • 3/4 cup leamon heads crushed We use bizzer to crush them
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 juice of 1 lemon

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350
  • cream sugar. shortening, eggs and the extracts
  • stir in dry ingredient, lemon zest, and crushed lemon heads
  • Roll into 1 inch balls, flatten slightly on parchment lined baking sheet (cooking spray works also)
  • bake for 7-8 min
  • let cool on pan 1-2 minutes
  • Make glazeby mixing powdered sugar with lemon juice
  • Brush lightly over tops of cookies
  • Let stand to cool completly
