Blackjack brisket

Ingredients

  • 10 lbs beef brisket
  • 12 ounce soda pop optional
  • 1 large onion quartered
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp pepper
  • 36 ounce hickory smoke bbq sauce
  • 1 cup molasses
  • 2 tbsp liquid smoke

Instructions

  • preheat to 250
  • Place brisket in roasting pan
  • Pour pop over meat place onions on top of meat
  • Season meat with the spices
  • Combine molasses and smoke pour over roast
  • Cover with aluminum foil
  • Bake for 6-8 hours or until pork is fork tender
