Strawberry Rhubarb Crisp
Ingredients
Filling
- 6 cup rhubarb cut into 1/2 inch section
- 4 cups halved strawberries
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp flour
Crisp Topping
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 1/2 cup flour
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions
Filling
- combine rhubarb strawberries, sugar, and flour in a large bowl.
- toss to coat the fruit
- place in a 10 inch baking dish
Topping
- combine butter and sugar beat until creamy
- stir in flour, cinnamon, and walnuts
- combine over the fruit mixture
- place dish on a cookie sheet and bake for 35 -40 min at 400
- until fruit is bubbling and top is brown
- serve with ice cream or whipped topping
