Pear Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 double Pie shell
  • 4 – 8 pear halves canned or fresh
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp corn starch
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp orange juice
  • dash salt

Instructions

  • place bottem layer of crust in pie plate
  • in a sauce pan combine sugar and corn starch
  • slowly add whipping cream, lemon juice, orange juice
  • cook untill sugar melts
  • layer pan with chunks of pears
  • dot pears with 4 tblsp butter
  • sprinkle with cinnamon
  • pour syrup over pears
  • top with wie crust
  • bake at 400 for 15 min
  • turn oven down to 350 and bake for 30 min more
