Pear Pie
Ingredients
- 1 double Pie shell
- 4 – 8 pear halves canned or fresh
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp corn starch
- 1/2 cup whipping cream
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp orange juice
- dash salt
Instructions
- place bottem layer of crust in pie plate
- in a sauce pan combine sugar and corn starch
- slowly add whipping cream, lemon juice, orange juice
- cook untill sugar melts
- layer pan with chunks of pears
- dot pears with 4 tblsp butter
- sprinkle with cinnamon
- pour syrup over pears
- top with wie crust
- bake at 400 for 15 min
- turn oven down to 350 and bake for 30 min more
