Pansy Cookies

Ingredients

C1ookies

  • 4 cup flour
  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 slightly beaten eggs
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder

Topping

  • 1 egg whites
  • some sugar
  • some pansies or other edible flower

Instructions

Step one (the dough)

  • in a large bowl beat butter on med speed
  • gradually add sugar
  • add eggs
  • beat until fluffy
  • on low add vanilla, salt, and baking powder
  • divide dough into 2 pieces and wrap in plastic
  • place in refrigerator for at least 30 min

Creating the cookie

  • line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper
  • lightly beaat the egg whites
  • on floured surface roll dough out into about 1/4 inch thickness
  • cut into circles place flour on top the cookie
  • brush with egg wash and sprinkle sugar
  • bake for 8 to 10 min. cool cover in container when cool may also be frozen
